Pinacosaurus was a heavily armoured ankylosaur that roamed the ancient landscapes of Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 90 to 84 million years ago. This impressive herbivore was built like a living tank, with thick bony plates covering its back and sides, providing excellent protection against predators in the harsh desert environments of prehistoric Asia.
