There are literally thousands of books about dinosaurs ranging from serious facts for adults to fun stories for children and everything in between. We take a look at some of our favourites in each genre.

There are thousands of dinosaur colouring books for you to get your teeth into including our very own 'Dinosaur Colouring In', a colouring book specially designed for toddlers. We can't only recommend our own book though so here are some of our favourites:
Whilst dot to dot is a fairly simple activity it is great for small children. It helps improve their hand-eye coordination as well as numeracy and also their artistic ability. The simple task of identifying the next number helps your child's number recognition and helps them learn some basic principles of drawing.
Painting by numbers is great for smaller children as it lets them improve their hand-eye coordination and helps them learn numbers and colours. It may be a little too rigid for older children but then they can always break the rules and paint the pictures as they like.
All children love stickers so a dinosaur sticker book is a fantastic way to keep them happy and entertained. Dinosaur sticker books come in a few different varieties, some allow the stickers to be peeled and restuck many times making them great value for money. Other dinosaur sticker books will only contain single-use stickers.
Word Searches have always been a popular form of puzzle, they help keep the brain active and can be very rewarding when you finally find that tricky word. Dinosaur word search books are great for both young and old.
Mess-Free activity books come in a few different varieties. Some are made from special paper which changes colour when wet, these books come with special pens which just hold water enabling your child to colour as much as they like without any worry of getting pen marks on the furniture or their clothes. These books can be dried out once complete meaning your children can colour them in again from scratch. Another variety of mess-free books are ones which come with shiny almost plastic-like pages. These allow your child to draw on them with any whiteboard marker and then easily wipe them clean afterwards. While they can still mark clothes and furniture with these pens they are usually washable and easily removed.
